selby micro hotel

At just 380 square feet, this space is a case study in small-scale hospitality design done right—clever, cozy, and completely Instagrammable. Combining custom millwork, multifunctional furniture, and a calming natural palette, the design balances modern function with old-world character. A marble-topped built-in table, playful wallpaper, and layered accessories lend it a sense of approachable luxury with a lived-in feel.

The project was commissioned by Siya Herman, a local real estate agent and small business owner, who transformed the building into a smart investment property, splitting it into her personal office, flexible rental workspaces, and this charming Airbnb suite. It’s a fresh take on what’s possible with compact spaces and creative planning, both from a design and entrepreneurial standpoint.
